Terms & Conditions
These terms set out how we work together. Last updated June 2026.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Tech Ace Limited ("Tech Ace", "we", "us") to its clients ("you"). By engaging our services, requesting a quote or making a payment, you agree to these Terms. If anything here is unclear, please contact us before proceeding.
This page is a plain-English summary of our standard terms. A project-specific agreement may apply and will take precedence where it differs.
1. Services
We provide digital services including website and application design and development, eCommerce, branding and graphic design, search engine optimisation, digital marketing, hosting and related support. The specific services, deliverables and scope for your project are defined in your individual quote or proposal.
2. Quotes & Payment
- Quotes are fixed and itemised, and valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Unless agreed otherwise, projects require a deposit before work begins, with the balance (or agreed milestone payments) due as set out in your quote.
- The final balance is payable on completion and prior to the transfer of final files, accounts or deployment to a live environment.
- Prices are in GBP. Late payments may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3. Project Delivery & Timelines
We agree clear milestones and target dates at the outset. Timelines assume the timely provision of content, feedback and approvals from you. Delays in supplying these may extend delivery dates accordingly. Most standard websites are delivered within 5–10 working days of receiving required content.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information, content, brand assets and approvals when reasonably requested.
- Ensure you hold the rights to any text, images or materials you supply, and that they do not infringe third-party rights.
- Nominate a point of contact authorised to provide feedback and sign-offs.
5. Revisions & Scope
Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds as defined in your quote. Requests that fall outside the agreed scope ("scope changes") will be quoted separately and may affect the timeline. We will always seek your approval before carrying out chargeable additional work.
6. Ownership & Intellectual Property
On receipt of full and final payment, you own the final deliverables produced specifically for your project, including design files, custom code and content we create for you. Until then, all work remains the intellectual property of Tech Ace. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio and marketing unless you request otherwise in writing.
7. Third-Party Services
Projects may rely on third-party platforms, plugins, themes, APIs or licences (for example payment gateways, hosting providers or eCommerce platforms). These are governed by their own terms and any associated fees are your responsibility unless included in your quote. We are not liable for changes, outages or charges arising from third-party services.
8. Hosting & Maintenance
Hosting, maintenance, updates and support are optional services available under a separate care plan. Where we do not host or maintain your site, responsibility for backups, security and updates passes to you on handover. We strongly recommend an ongoing care plan to keep your site secure and performing.
9. Cancellation
Either party may cancel a project in writing. Where you cancel, the deposit is non-refundable and you will be invoiced for any work completed up to the cancellation date. Any rights to deliverables transfer only once outstanding amounts are settled.
10. Warranties & Liability
We deliver our services with reasonable skill and care and will correct genuine defects in our work reported within 30 days of delivery at no charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, data or business. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Confidentiality & Data Protection
We treat your business information as confidential and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We collect only the information needed to deliver our services and respond to enquiries, and we never sell your data. You can request details of, or deletion of, the personal data we hold by contacting info@tech-ace.com.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
