Cookie Policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies, and how you stay in control. Last updated June 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how Tech Ace Limited ("Tech Ace", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://techaceltd.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions. We use cookies in line with UK law — the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) — which means we ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. "Similar technologies" — such as your browser's local storage — work the same way and are covered by the same rules. We group what we use into three kinds:
- Strictly necessary — required for the website to function and to remember your privacy choices. These do not need your consent.
- Functional — remember choices you make to improve your experience (for example, not showing you the same pop-up twice).
- Third-party — set by external services we embed, such as an interactive map.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics such as Google Analytics on this website.
2. Your consent & control
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. Non-essential cookies (functional and third-party) are not set until you choose "Accept all". If you choose "Reject all", only strictly necessary cookies are used. You can change your decision at any time:
- Select Cookie settings here or in our website footer to reopen the banner and update your choice.
- Clear cookies and local storage through your browser (see section 5) to reset everything.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
3. Cookies we use
The table below lists the cookies and storage this website may use. Items marked third-party are only loaded after you accept.
4. Third-party cookies
Google Maps. Our Contact page can display an interactive Google Map. Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address when the map loads. To respect your choice, the map does not load until you accept cookies or click "Load map" on the page itself. You can always reach us using the address, phone and email shown on that page without loading the map.
Fonts. Our typefaces are self-hosted — served directly from this website rather than from a third party. No font request is made to Google or any other external provider, so no data about you is shared in order to display the site's text. The Google Maps embed above is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
As well as our banner, you can control cookies directly in your browser — block them, delete them, or be warned before one is set. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working. Browser guides:
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond, so we do not currently act on DNT signals. Because we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, this has no practical effect on your privacy here.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
